Type one line for Zappy, or say no.
This is that game, reinvented. The road is a picture, and the sibling who never lost is Zappy AI✦. Zappy looks at the same picture as you, thinks of things, answers your questions with a strict yes or no, and asks its own when it is your turn to think. It is also the referee: it checks unfair questions and false answers. Two rounds, one each way.
NoteZappy is an AI✦ and may get things wrong
Zappy picks something in the picture. Ask yes or no questions to find it. Your fifteenth question is your guess, so you get fourteen real questions and then the guess. Naming it counts: ask "Is it the kettle?" and a YES wins the round, a NO just costs you a question. Tap I know it only when you are sure: once tapped you must guess, and a wrong guess hands the round to Zappy. Compound or vague questions are refused and not counted. Pinch and drag to look closely; pull the ask bar down to get it out of the way, and tap the last question to see the whole history. From the menu: Zappy Vision lists everything Zappy can see for 2 questions (open it before question 13, after that it no longer fits), and from question 13 you may ask nicely for a hint.
Swipe through 3 pictures, or use your own photo, and pick one thing. Tap it on the picture (Zappy names what you tapped, you confirm) or type it, then Lock it in. Not that? Release it and choose again. The clock gives you 100 seconds: at zero a typed or named pick locks itself, and no pick hands the round to Zappy. Once it's in, it's in. Now Zappy asks and you tap YES or NO. If Zappy names your thing ("Is it the cap?") and you say YES, Zappy has it, but only from question 4; before that it is just a question. If a question is not a fair yes-or-no question, tap Call the referee: an unfair one is struck out and Zappy asks again. Around question 13 Zappy may ask you nicely for a hint; give one or say no. Zappy's fifteenth must be its guess too, and a wrong guess hands you the round.
Your pick must be one real thing you can point at. "Something", "everything on the shelf", a colour, or two things at once are not accepted, and a guess like "a product" never counts. Zappy saw the picture too and checks every answer: a false answer gets one warning, a second ends the round in Zappy's favour. Calling the referee on a question that was fair also counts as a warning.
Two rounds, one each way. Whoever found the thing in fewer questions wins; a skipped turn, a time-out or a second false answer gives that round to Zappy. Points sit under the verdict, and the things from your pictures are there to shop at the end.
